چکیده

Many thermal resources are not reasonably used in the chemical industry’s production process. To recover waste heat from organic residue-calcium carbonate (CaCO3), which is added to inhibit hydrogen production, an Rankine cycle (ORC) system applied this research. An ORC can reuse low-temperature that fully utilized. In study, mathematical model of biomass power generation constructed. Five working fluids, R11, R113, R123, R141b, and R245fa, were selected physical characteristics safety fluids. The application case absorption a simulated by Aspen Plus V11 software, so as study analyze influence different fluids conditions on performance obtain preferred under conditions. At same time, economic evaluation entropy method evaluated using investment profit rate PRI angles. It be found R11 R141b have advantages, but does advantages environmental aspects. Through research, it difficult fluid adapt any This paper provide basis for subsequent research selection system.

Selection of the optimum prime mover and the working fluid in a regenerative organic rankine cycle

A regenerative organic Rankine cycle (RORC) is modeled and optimized for the use of waste heat recovery from a prime mover (PM). Three PMs including, a diesel engine, a gas engine, and a microturbine are selected in this study. Four refrigerants including isobutane, R123, R134a, and R245fa are selected. The nominal capacity of the PM, PM operating partial load, turbine inlet pressure, condenser...

Performance Evaluation of a Solar-Powered Regenerative Organic Rankine Cycle in Different Climate Conditions

A model to evaluate the performance of a solar powered regenerative Organic Rankine Cycle (R-ORC) using five dry organic fluids: RC318, R227ea, R236ea, R236fa, and R218, is presented in this paper. The system is evaluated in two locations in the U.S.: Jackson, MS and Tucson, AZ. The weather data for each location is used to determine the heat available from the solar collector that could be use...

Comparison of Organic Rankine Cycle Systems under Varying Conditions Using Turbine and Twin-Screw Expanders

A multi-variable optimization program has been developed to investigate the performance of Organic Rankine Cycles (ORCs) for low temperature heat recovery applications using both turbine and twin-screw expanders when account is taken of performance variation due to changes in ambient conditions. The cycle simulation contains thermodynamic models of both types of expander. In the case of the twi...

“organic Rankine Cycle (orc) in Biomass Plants: an Overview on Different Applications“

The ORC technology in cogenerative systems has by now reached a level of full maturity in biomass applications. In Europe, there are over 120 plants in operation with sizes between 0.2 and 2.5 MW electric. ORC systems are very flexible and can be used in different applications like district heating systems, pellet production factories, sawmills and tri-generation systems with absorption chiller...

Effect of Working-fluid Mixtures on Organic Rankine Cycle System Performance: Heat Transfer and Cost Analysis

A thermodynamic limitation of single-component working fluids in organic Rankine cycles (ORCs) is the large exergy destruction (and, consequently, useful power loss) associated with evaporation and condensation. Due to their non-isothermal phasechange behaviour, non-azeotropic working-fluid mixtures have shown reduced exergy losses, leading to improved cycle efficiencies and power outputs. Thes...
